Renowned Golfer Commissioned as PR Envoy for the
“Gyeongnam Goseong Dinosaurs World Expo 2006”
The Goseong-gun held a ceremony on October 22 for the commissioning of Kim Cho-rong, renowned professional golfer who won at the championship of the LPGA Tour of Longs Drugs Challenge in September, as PR envoy for the planned “Dinosaurs World Expo 2006” in Goseong, Gyeongsangnam-do. Attended by Governor Lee Hak-ryeol and 35 staffs of the county government, as well as Mrs. Kim Deok-suk, mother of Miss Christina Kim (Kim Cho-rong), the ceremony was held at the conference room of the county government building.
Born in Georyu-myeon, Goseong-gun, Miss Kim Cho-rong was commissioned as the third PR envoy for the “Gyeongnam Goseong Dinosaurs World Expo 2006” following gag woman Jo Hye-ryeon and alpinist Eum Hong-gil.
In his congratulatory address delivered at the ceremony, Mayor Lee remarked that the “Dinosaurs World Expo 2006” in Goseong, Gyeongsangnam-do is Korea's and Gyeongnam Province's first natural history dinosaur exposition in the province's 110-year history. He also made an earnest request to Miss Kim to help promote the Expo and the county through her prestige as a world-class professional golfer and as a native of the county.
Extending his appreciation to the county people for their cooperation in the launch of the project, Mayor Lee also asked for help from the local folk and the natives of the county in foreign lands to ensure the success of the Expo. ""
